At Living Hope Fellowship, our faith is rooted in the timeless truths of the Bible and the life-transforming message of Jesus Christ. As a Southern Baptist congregation in Lafayette, California, we are committed to helping people experience God’s love and guidance in their daily lives. Our beliefs form the foundation of everything we do, shaping how we worship, serve, and grow as a community. God

We believe in one God, the Creator and sovereign ruler of the universe. God exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal, co-eternal, and unified in essence. God’s character is holy, loving, and just, and He desires a personal relationship with every individual. His plans are perfect, and His wisdom and power sustain all creation.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He lived a sinless life and willingly offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people through His death on the cross. On the third day, He rose from the dead, conquering sin and death and demonstrating His divine authority. Jesus ascended to Heaven and will return as the eternal King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Salvation and reconciliation with God are only possible through faith in Him.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God, co-equal with the Father and the Son, actively at work in the world. He convicts hearts of sin, leads individuals to salvation, and empowers believers to live a Christ-centered life. From the moment of salvation, the Holy Spirit dwells within every Christian, providing spiritual gifts, understanding of God’s truth, guidance in daily decisions, and strength to overcome challenges. Living under the Spirit’s guidance is a lifelong pursuit for every believer.

The Bible

The Bible is God’s inspired Word, written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the ultimate source of truth for faith and conduct, providing wisdom, instruction, and the revelation of God’s plan for humanity. We uphold the Bible as authoritative, trustworthy, and central to every aspect of Christian life.

Salvation

Salvation is a gift from God, offered freely to all but received only through faith. No amount of self-improvement, works, or human effort can earn forgiveness. Through accepting Jesus Christ, one is forgiven of sin, reconciled to God, and granted eternal life. Faith in Christ transforms lives, beginning at the moment of acceptance and continuing through a lifelong journey of spiritual growth.
