Living Hope Fellowship called Jorge Chavez to be our pastor September 16, 2018.

 

Jorge is a second generation Bay Area native. He grew up in the San Jose area where his parents owned a jewelry shop and his grandmother owned a restaurant. He is the honored husband of Sarah and the proud father of Hannah. In September, 2015, he became a licensed minister, and in the spring of 2018, he graduated from Gateway Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters degree in Theological Studies. Jorge had the privilege of being a member and serving at Emmanuel Baptist Church in San Jose and Temple Baptist Church in San Francisco. He is a Spanish CLD/ADVANCE instructor for Gateway Baptist Theological Seminary. One of Jorge’s greatest passions is to help struggling churches with leadership and revitalization consulting.

 

Jorge thoroughly enjoys the Bay Area’s vast, multi-cultural communities and loves being a servant of the Kingdom in the Bay Area, because it has given him countless opportunities to get to know many different people from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, ethnicities, religions, viewpoints, and worldviews.

 

He is excited about the call God has given him and is anticipating all that God will do in the days to come.
